If ever there was a film maker that splits opinion, it is the brilliant Tom Six. Just with that sentence, I have shown which side of the fence I fall, the Human Centipede Trilogy is one of my favourites of all time, a clever, disturbing, satirical, political drama/horror that many people cannot sit through. Here, in Rotterdam in 2015, is the auteur himself talking about his career, how his life has changed since making the films (“It is easier to get a table in a restaurant and Tom Cruise requested a copy of the film”), his paintings and the violent, often angry reactions to THC. You see people get up and leave, turn away from the screen and gasp in horror at what is, let’s face it, just one man’s excellent imagination.
