Poem – And The Dancer Stopped Dancing :

dacer.jpg

I thought I would hold you forever.
Touching you was like touching God,
But then my atheism kicked in
And the magic evaporated in my burning heart.
You were the music in me,
The tiny ballerina in life’s musical box.
But the mechanism broke,
I was not in on the joke
As the wheels rusted and the dancer stopped dancing.
