Poem – Without You Here :

WithoutYouHere

I try to fall asleep alone,
My hand drifts over to where you should be.
But the space is cold and empty
Like my heart without you here.
I hear the clock tick
It seems to slow down to the speed of my heart,
Which is almost static without you here.
I get up and drink some bitter alcohol
Squinting and making that face that makes you laugh,
But alone I just feel ridiculous.
Every day is nothing without you here.

Why are you not here, really?
