Poem – A Note, Read Endlessly :

keys

I counted to ten

And kept my eyes closed, as promised.

When I opened them

The world seemed a little more grey

A little more ugly.

You’d left your keys on the side

With a note,

A dear John without the dear

An admittance of betrayal

A puffed out chest of a new life without the tedium of me.
