Religious horrors have always given me the shakes, from The Omen to The Last Exorcism, this is the sort of thing that gives me sleepless nights. Step up to the plate The Dawn, I’m gonna just turn all my lights on now to be safe!
The Dawn sees a girl who witnesses her father murdering the family in the wake of the first world war and her being sent to live in a convent. But you can’t escape demons, real or metaphorical so expect some serious chills. Good pedigree here too, director Brandon Slagle made the excellent House Of Manson and Devanny Pinn & Ryan Kiser, both starring here, shone in that film as Susan Atkins and Charlie.
