The Little Mermaid is only second to the original Dumbo in my list of best ever Disney films. I did not even watch the remake of Dumbo, I am sure I would enjoy it but I already have the original, so what is the point? I loved the Lion King and Beauty And The Beast live action versions, but only watched them once before returning to the animated perfection. This trailer feels so much like the original that I am totally on board. Melissa McCarthy looks set to steal the show as Ursula, my favourite Disney villain ever and I cannot wait to sing Poor Unfortunate Souls again. Not sure about the freaky looking Sebastian the crab but I’ll still be there day one on May 26th.
