When DC Studios put James Gunn (and Peter Safran) in charge of the future of the comic book movies coming from the ‘other’ massive company, i was happy as Gunn has always come across as a big cuddly nerd in the press and on social media and more importantly he has brought that love to the big screen a number of times, whether it be the iconic Rocket Raccoon kicking ass, or the savage violence of The Suicide Squad.
Now another welcome reveal is that Gunn will be directing Superman : Legacy, based upon his own screenplay. Who will play this younger version of the man of steel has yet to be revealed but we do know that the film is set for a July 11th 2025 premiere. Cannot wait. Who do you see as Superman here? My shouts would be Timothee Chalamet, Zac Efron or Joe Jonas. Who you got?
