A24 are one of those horror names now so iconic that artists not necessarily known for the darker side of cinema are now lining up to work with them. Hugh Grant is the latest Hollywood icon to throw his hat into the ring with the forthcoming Heretic.
Two young religious types are going door to door spreading the word of Christ when they knock on a door answered by Grant’s character, who offers to listen to their ideas and also offers them pie. What could possibly go wrong…?
I love how that is all this trailer reveals, it almost feels like a Shyamalan scenario, I get echoes of The Visit and it also screams ‘CLAUSTROPHOBIA!’ but aside from that, we’ll have to wait. Not long though, the film arrives November 2024, in my birthday week, maybe I’ll have a pie! Orrrr not. 😉
