Often I put up predictions for the biggest WWE shows, but this weekend belongs to NXT. Money In The Bank? That is seven shrug matches, a decent Jax/Rousey bout and two entertaining ladder matches, where hopefully Becky Lynch and Samoa Joe will win the briefcases. Now let’s get back to the main event, thanks HHH! 🙂
NXT Takeover Chicago 2 :
RICOCHET VS VELVETEEN DREAM :
This is sure to be a slobberknocker as it features two of the best workers in the company and as with most things involving the awesome Dream, the story has been told brilliantly, so that the match matters, which is what is missing with many of the main roster matches this weekend. Expect some big moves from Ricochet and plenty of posing from Velveteen. The Dream will take the win as his story is taking him either into the title picture or maybe up to RAW sooner rather than later.
WINNER – VELVETEEN DREAM
THE UNDISPUTED ERA VS LORCAN/BURCH :
Everything the Undisputed Era do is pure gold and Lorcan and Burch are just two jobbers elevated to the big stage, this will be swift and decisive.
WINNERS – THE UNDISPUTED ERA
SHAYNER BAYZLER VS NIKKI CROSS :
Bayzler has played the monster brilliantly on her road to the title, but she has never met anyone as crazy as the beautiful creature that is Nikki Cross. Yeah I should probably state here that I cannot be totally partisan about Cross, I love her to death and I am hoping that this will be her moment to shine – Sanity went up to Smackdown but left their crazy girl behind so now she needs the gold to justify this move. C’mon Nikki!
WINNER – NIKKI CROSS
ALEISTER BLACK VS LARS SULLIVAN :
Black has not had much in terms of challenge since becoming the champion so it will be nice to see a monster face him and Sullivan has been doing great work recently. Still, it seems too early for the title to be shifted so expect a Black Mass out of nowhere at around the ten minute mark.
WINNER – ALEISTER BLACK
JOHNNY GARGANO VS TOMASSO CIAMPA :
Street fight time! This feud has been brilliant, but with Gargano as the ultimate babyface, I have been hoping to see the monster prevail and I feel that this may be the night when that happens. Candice will come out, plead with her husband not to go ahead with this and then take another bump, which takes us further into the feud. I expect blood, I expect brilliance. I predict a riot when Ciampa wins.
WINNER – TOMASSO CIAMPA
“Big deal. Death always went with the territory. See you in Disneyland.”
“I never trust a dog to watch my food and I like to use the word ‘Dude’ as a noun or an adverb or an adjective.”
